Is the CDP Course Creator Guide course mandatory?
CDP Course Creator Guide is designed to ensure that courses created and delivered on MOEYS CDP are of the best quality possible and our training providers are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to independently and effectively deliver the course on MOEYS CDP and to support their learners if they encounter any issues.

However, training providers may be exempted from taking the CDP Course Creator Guide course if you meet any of the following requirements:
  • you can provide proof that you have prior experience in creating and delivering a course on a Moodle platform
  • your course delivery will be supported by the MOEYS CDP team (prior arrangement is required)
Do all members of my organization have to take the CDP Course Creator Guide course?
No. When a representative of your organization completes the CDP Course Creator Guide course, s/he will be able to register your organization as a training provider on MOEYSCDP. When registering your organization, s/he can specify the team members of your organization (all members must have an account on MOEYS CDP). All members will be able to submit a course request. 

When creating and delivering a course on MOEYS CDP, you must seek support from the person who completes the CDP Course Creator Guide course.
My course has been accredited by CPDMO. What do I do next to run the course on MOEYS CDP?
When discussing accredited courses, some organizations are confused by the relationship/roles of the HRCPD by CPDMO and MOEYS CDP by DIT. HRCDP is a platform/app for training providers to set up course schedules, enroll participants, etc. for any kind of accredited courses (i.e. online, blended, face-to-face), BUT it is not a platform to deliver the training and conduct all the course activities. Training providers will have to choose where and how they want to deliver their training. One of the available options is MOEYS CDP. MOEYS CDP is a learning management system that allows training providers to create, deliver, and manage course activities. What's more, MOEYS CDP allows learners to link their HRCPD account and request CDP credits directly when they complete the course and fulfill the credit requirements.

To use MOEYS CDP as a training platform for your accredited course, first, you must be a registered training provider on MOEYS CDP and submit a course request. 

Where do learners register in an accredited course between HRCPD and MOEYS CDP?
Generally, after you create a course schedule on HRCPD, your prospective learners can enroll themselves in your course on HRCPD. However, if you choose to deliver your course on MOEYS CDP, you may instruct your learners to enroll through MOEYS CDP. When the course is complete and the participants request their earned credits, their information will be sent to HRCPD.
In short, your learners will have to register ONCE on MOEYS CDP. 
Do I have to have a course ready before I submit a course request?
No. When submitting a course request, you must attach a course outline/syllabus. When your request is approved, you will get an empty course where you can start developing your course content and activities. You may also use our MOEYS CDP Playground to develop your course. MOEYS CDP Playground is a local program that you can install and run on your computer without an internet connection. Courses developed on the playground can be imported into the actual MOEYS CDP space.
Where do I create my course?
That depends on your preference and your course. We strongly recommend you use our MOEYS CDP Playground to set up your course on your computer, back up, and restore it when a course space on MOEYS CDP is allocated to you. MOEYS CDP Playground is a portable version of the official MOEYS CDP that can be quickly set up and operated on your computer and does not require an Internet connection to run (unless your resources are located on the web such as YouTube, Google Drive, etc). My course was developed on another Moodle-based platform. Will it be compatible with MOEYS CDP?

If you are using only standard Moodle course activities (aka modules) in your course, it should be 100% compatible. However, the looks might be a little different. We created a custom theme based on the Moodle standard Boost theme to allow for more integrability and mobile-friendly requirements. We recommend that you test your course on MOEYS CDP Playground and adjust your course content accordingly.

If you are using additional community modules, reach out to our MOEYS CDP team. We will evaluate the plugins you are using to see if we can/should install them on MOEYS CDP to accommodate your requirements.

Alternatively, you may also list your course on MOEYS CDP for registration and reporting purposes and redirect the learners to your platform to complete their course activities using the LTI external tool. Reach out to MOEYS CDP to learn more about this option.
